6/19/2023 0 Comments Mvd rewind collection![]() ![]() Amanda manages to make it to Preston’s and they hole up here to fight the creature until an escape moves the battle out to the car. ![]() Obviously, this Bigfoot is a cannibal and apparently he loves girlmeat, he eventually targets the other girls, busts into their house home invasion style and wipes them all out (Shepis is pulled half naked through a small window in a death gag reminiscent of how Deputy Briggs died in 1998’s The Blob and another girl is stepped on so hard her guts shoot out). It’s a fun diversion for I’ve never seen Combs and Henriksen acting together, I wish they had bigger parts.Ĭhecking my Fangorias I’m surprised the movie was never given the full article treatment, with this one page “teaser” from #253 being its only coverage. All three of them are eventually killed by the creature, but not before Zeigler stumbles upon the squatch’s cave and finds that girl he took (she was alive but partially eviscerated). The other two are played by horror veterans Jeffery Combs and Lance Henriksen the former is grizzled, long haired, thick spectacled wearing (he wore similar specs in Fortress), on an oxygen tank, Buddy, while the latter is Ziegler Dane (love that name), I got the impression Dane was some kind of big game hunter. The movie cuts away from the main plot to a subplot concerning three hunters who are looking for this creature, one of them we met in the prologue, Billy (Rex Linn), who had his dog and horse killed by something big lurking around his farm at night. Preston happens to see one of the girls taken by something, but can’t get Otis to believe him. (Karin Anna Cheung), Tracy (Tiffany Shepis), and Amanda (Haley Joel) and their partying attracts this creature. Moving in to the cottage next door for a vacation are five girls: Karen (Ashley Hartman), Michelle (Natalie Compagno), C.J. Confined to a wheelchair he’s pretty much at the mercy of this guy. After he gets to Flatwoods, and his home in the woods, he would beg to differ, but Otis won’t let him go back. His doctor thinks a return to the “scene of the crime” will do him some good psychologically. The booklet included with the original and now out-of-print 2006 DVD. As of this review we’re on the cusp of getting two more Killer Squatch flicks, Big Legend and the extremely gory Primal Rage, which sounds like it may end up being the best Killer Squatch flick to hit the masses in the last couple of decades, but before that it was Director Ryan Schifrin’s Abominable that claimed that top spot and until I see Primal Rage, reviewed it, and christened as such, it will remain there.
